The owners wanted a home that balanced the classic style of Main Line stone houses with modern amenities, including an open plan, plenty of light, and larger, more usable spaces. They drew inspiration from Philadelphia architects Duhring, Okie & Ziegler, who designed classically inspired iron-stone summer houses around 1900.
