DeWalt, a renowned power tool brand, has introduced five new additions to its carpentry lineup for 2026. These tools were unveiled at the Built Black and Yellow event and join the 20V Max XR series. Let’s look into the details of each of these innovative tools.
DeWalt 20V Max XR 6 1/2-inch Plunge Track Saw
The DeWalt DCS525 is the brand’s first track saw on the 20V Max platform and DeWalt’s second cordless track saw overall. It features a 6 1/2-inch blade capable of cutting through 2 1/8-inch material at 90°. With a brushless motor, it offers five variable speed settings, ranging from 2,500 to 5,400 RPM, allowing users to adjust the speed to match the material being cut.
For enhanced safety, the track saw is equipped with DeWalt’s Kickback Brake system, which shuts off the saw quickly in the event of a bind-up. It also offers up to 94% dust collection when paired with a vacuum hose and DeWalt’s Wireless Tool Control system, which allows users to remotely activate the vacuum for better dust management.
The rear-shifted plunge action on the DCS525 aligns the feel of the cut with other popular track saws, making it more comfortable and intuitive to use. Furthermore, the stiffer rails on the new model reduce flex when the saw is off the edge of the material, improving accuracy and stability during cuts. The stiffer rails also ensure better alignment with the blade, resulting in straighter cuts.

Random Orbit Sanders
DeWalt is launching two random orbit sanders – a 5-inch (DCW211) and a 6-inch (DCW230) model. Both tools feature Wireless Tool Control and Tool Connect compatibility, allowing users to manage and track their tools easily. The DCW211 and DCW230 also come with dust ports that collect up to 95% of dust when paired with compatible DeWalt dust extractors.
The 5-inch DCW211 is a direct successor to DeWalt’s first cordless sander, the DCW210. It features an oscillating rate of 8,000 – 12,000 OPM and significantly reduces vibration by up to 40% compared to its predecessor. This improvement ensures a more comfortable and precise sanding experience. The DCW211 also offers a runtime of up to 50 square feet with a 5.0Ah battery.
The 6-inch DCW230 is DeWalt’s first cordless sander of this size. With an oscillating rate of 6,000 – 10,000 OPM, it sands up to 200 square feet using an 8.0Ah battery. The lower speeds provide better control over the material and help prevent over-sanding on delicate wood projects.
